Trivia
Carey Mulligan had to learn how to drive for this movie and did a two-week intensive course but failed the driving test. The production team had to shoot the scene on a private road, where she was allowed to get behind the wheel.
The French title ”Auprès de moi toujours”, which translates to ”Close To Me Always.”
The visit to the Norfolk coast (east coast of England) from the Cottages is filmed in the North Somerset towns of Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare, on the opposite side of England to the west.
